Kurt Denninghoff
Founder
Kurt is the Founder and CEO of Pivotl, where he helps home service and trade businesses gain financial clarity, boost profitability, and scale with confidence. His journey began running his own company in the trades, where he experienced firsthand the challenges business owners face with finances, operations, and growth.
After years of consulting with trade businesses, Kurt saw the need for a clear, practical approach to financial strategy—one that helps owners move from chaos to clarity. He founded Pivotl on the belief that financial clarity creates freedom, giving business owners the tools to make smarter decisions, grow their companies, and reclaim their time.

Rett Jones
Chief of Staff
Rett brings decades of hands-on HVAC experience and a proven track record of growth. Starting in his family’s business in West Georgia, he earned a BA in Business Management and grew the company from $2M to $4M in four years. After moving to Florida, Rett advanced from top sales rep to General Manager, scaling multiple locations to over $4M each and ultimately overseeing all three branches until their sale in 2019. He later led another family business from $3.5M to $11.5M through strategic growth and acquisitions, staying on as Regional Manager after its exit in 2022.

Erik Walkup
Director of Finance
Erik Walkup brings extensive corporate finance and strategic leadership experience to his role as Director of Finance at Pivotl. With an MBA and a background as an Operations Manager at Intel overseeing a $4B business unit, he developed expertise in financial planning and operational strategy. Combined with seven years owning and managing a home service business, Erik now helps companies gain clarity, improve profitability, and build strong financial foundations for growth.

Devin Poindexter
Director of financial systems & analytics
Devin brings over a decade of finance and technology expertise to home service businesses. As Director of Finance at Intel Corporation, he was responsible for reporting and consolidation for a $50B division, holding roles across financial analysis, margin optimization, and data analytics during his 10-year tenure.
In addition to his corporate finance background, Devin has deep technical expertise in programming, automation, and software integration. This unique blend of financial and technical skills enables him to help home service companies modernize their systems, streamline operations, and unlock new levels of profitability.

Director of Operations
Brandon brings years of operational leadership and hands-on experience in the trades industry to his role as Director of Operations. Starting as a project manager, he gained a deep understanding of day-to-day operations, team coordination, and the systems needed to deliver successful projects on time and on budget.
Over the years, Brandon advanced into operational leadership roles, where he focused on streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and supporting business growth. His background in the trades gives him practical insight into the challenges companies face, allowing him to build structures that help businesses run smoothly and scale with confidence.

Before joining Pivotl, Edmarie worked across multiple industries, honing her skills in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and process improvement. Director of Human Resources
Mae brings extensive experience in human resources and people operations to her role as Director of HR. With a background in talent management, employee development, and organizational culture, she is passionate about building workplaces where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
Before joining Pivotl, Mae worked across multiple industries leading HR strategy, recruitment, and employee engagement initiatives. Her focus on creating strong teams and positive work environments helps businesses attract top talent, retain great people, and build a culture that supports long-term success.

John Denninghoff
Director of Strategic Partnerships
John brings 7 years of experience in the home service industry, with a background both in the field as a contractor and HVAC technician and on the business side selling software and service solutions. This combination of hands-on knowledge and industry insight enables him to understand contractors at every level and speak their language.
At Pivotl Partners, John focuses on building relationships with contractors, partners, and industry leaders, helping them access the resources and expertise they need to grow profitably. His role centers on networking, sales, and strategic partnerships—creating lasting connections that drive value for clients and strengthen the broader home services community.

Jonathon Schloss
Director of AI
Jonathon launched his own mobile app development company in his first month of college, and that early experience set him on a path through startups, technical support, sales, and advisory work. Each step showed him how technology, operations, and people intersect. He has led support teams, managed national sales territories, and worked directly with business owners on growth and M&A opportunities.
At Pivotl, Jonathon combines that background with his passion for AI and automation. He builds scalable systems that simplify financial and operational complexity, giving home service companies the clarity, efficiency, and growth they need to succeed.

Abi Denninghoff
Director of Marketing
Abi brings a blend of strategic thinking and design expertise, transforming complex ideas into impactful marketing campaigns. With a background in creative direction, she crafts cohesive brand narratives that resonate with audiences and elevate Pivotl’s presence in a competitive market.
Her work combines creativity with data-driven insights, ensuring marketing initiatives are both visually compelling and results-focused—helping position Pivotl as a forward-thinking, client-focused leader in financial services for trade businesses.

Jon Longshore
Service Titan Coach
Jon Longshore has 18 years of experience in the HVAC industry, with extensive knowledge of both wholesale and residential operations. He previously served as the General Manager for the residential division of a Georgia/Alabama-based HVAC company.
Jon is passionate about using technology and automation to improve processes and close the gap between HVAC and technology. He is a Certified Software Coach in Service Titan and has years of practical experience using the platform to streamline operations and enhance customer service.

Jeff Tauzin
Service Titan Coach
Jeff brings over 28 years of experience in the skilled trades, rising from apprentice to CEO of his family-owned business. As an early adopter of Service Titan in 2015, his company quickly became a top 10 power user, mastering the platform long before the Pro products scoring system was introduced.
At Pivotl, he specializes in custom price book builds, membership programs, workflow design, flat-rate pricing, payroll setup, performance pay systems, QuickBooks-integrated financials, and comprehensive business systems. Passionate about training teams and improving operations, Jeff combines hands-on guidance with financial analysis expertise to drive profitability, increase enterprise value, and help contractors scale efficiently.
